Community Member of the Month: greenbanana

Meet Cihan Duezguen, the co-founder and CEO of greenbanana. Founded in 2024 and based in Frankfurt am Main, the FinTech company operates as a pan-European Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) orchestration platform. greenbanana hence connects merchants, BNPL providers, and payment service providers through a centralized API infrastructure across multiple countries.  

Greenbanana is part of this year’s Hessen10 program and is one of Hessen’s most promising startups. This potential has also been recognized by the Wirtschaftsförderung Frankfurt, which selected the company as one of three winners of the Frankfurter Gründerpreis 2025.

This week, we spoke with Cihan from greenbanana, our Community Member of the Month for March 2026. He told us about greenbanana becoming part of the TechQuartier community and shared recent developments and insights into the FinTech startup.

What advice would he give to other startups joining TechQuartier?
Cihan encourages founders to take initiative by reaching out, introducing themselves, and building genuine connections in real life. Meaningful encounters and open conversations help founders learn from one another, stay connected to the latest news and insights, and create opportunities for potential collaborations and new partnerships across the entrepreneurial community. 

Greenbanana reached a major milestone at the end of February 2026 with the announcement of a new partnership with VR Payment, one of Germany’s leading payment providers and one of TechQuartier’s corporate partners. The team first met VR Payment at TechQuartier. Cihan expressed the important role of TechQuartier in the start of this partnership and how we “support founders and corporates to enable the ecosystem here in Frankfurt or Germany”.
