July 2024 - Our TechQuartier Community Member of the Month July is 90Green! This innovative startup, founded by Christoph Tippmann, is making waves in the urban greening sector with its cutting-edge technology and data-driven approach. Christoph has also been a participant in our Impact Challenge and The Growth Alliance’s Bootcamp for AgriFood innovations in 2022.  Let’s dive into their story and recent achievements.The Story of 90Green 
In many industries, from mechanical engineering to automotive and plant engineering, data is used to increase efficiency or reduce costs. However, the urban greening sector has largely remained untouched by these advancements. This is where 90Green steps in. With over 15 years of experience in technology and digitalisation, Christoph Tippmann founded the Frankfurt-based GreenTech startup to revolutionize urban greening. 

90Green combines a sensor- and data-driven digitalisation approach with modular lightweight elements for vertical greening. These modules are equipped with an automated, resource-saving irrigation system and special sensors that transmit various environmental parameters to a cloud environment in real time. This allows cities, companies, and property developers to measure the specific ecological impact of their green spaces accurately. 

In contrast to conventional greening procedures, such as planting trees or creating parks, our system for vertical greening allows us to create many more effective green spaces on a small ground space and make the resulting benefits measurable based on data.Christoph Tippmann

Spotlight on Success 
We are proud to highlight that 90Green is one of the 17 Hessen startups selected for the HTAI PUSH Stipendium 2024. This recognition further underscores the impactful work they are doing in the GreenTech space. The PUSH! scholarships by Hessen provide up to €40,000 each to 17 innovative startups focusing on sustainable business models, supporting them in establishing marketable products and contributing to the UN's sustainability goals. Two more TQ Community members also received this award: FF Frontier Fuels and Revoltech GmbH. In 3 words: What are the key topics that spark a good conversation with you?
