Recap: FRAXperience connects global startups with Fraport opportunities

FRAXperience, a collaboration with Fraport AG, was a 3-day accelerator program (27 -29 January) designed to connect global startups with Fraport executives. The goal was to discover innovative ideas for Frankfurt’s new Terminal 3, planned for opening in 2023.

“We want to develop the airport experience of the future for FRA. With TechQuartier we found an excellent partner to shape this digital change. Together we want to initiate innovative lighthouse projects for the new Terminal 3 and beyond.”
– Dr. Pierre Dominique Prümm – Member of the Executive Board, Aviation and Infrastructure – Fraport AG

FRAXperience attracted more than 80 startups from around the globe – from San Francisco and London to Amsterdam and Berlin – but only 10 were selected to travel to Frankfurt for three days of accelerator networking including a trip behind-the-scenes at the Frankfurt Airport with Fraport insiders.

The group also participated in workshops with Bianca Praetorius, Startup Pitch Coach & Public Speaking Trainer, and Artus de Longuemar, Serial Entrepreneur and “Intrapreneur.”

The program culminated in a Demo Day pitch competition . The winner – Creavision (London, UK). Founded in 2015, this company has developed a panoramic computer vision sensor for long-range passive face recognition.

A panel of judges from the airline industry awarded founder Victor Mudretsov with a six-month community membership at TechQuartier and two weeks free digital advertising space at Frankfurt Airport on 164 Screens at Terminal 1 & 2 (a value of €25.000).

“We are delighted that Creavision won the Best Presentation Award and can hardly wait to dive deep into the co-creation process with Fraport to help make T3 the best terminal in the world!” – Victor Mudretsov, Creavision founder.
