Empowering Entrepreneurs: H_Ventures Incubation Program's Demo Day Winners

Our nine-week program, H_Ventures, culminated with a Demo Day last week and we have some big winners. 

• First place & a 1500€ prize - Phont - With the help of AI tools such as Natural Language Processing the Phonteziser Engine will link emotions to spoken language and create a next-level movie-watching experience.

• Second Place - Mindwaves - This SaaS utilizes ChatGPT to automate and enhance a significant portion of UX research processes, addressing the current lack of alternatives to manual methods.

• Third Place - Più Mosso - This platform connects employers looking for skilled classical musicians for short-term positions in orchestras and choirs.

• Folivora Energy - This SaaS autonomously interfaces between intelligent energy management and classical hardware control (battery, CHP, heat pumps, ...) for significant energy savings.

• Formulyze - A matchmaking platform connecting cosmetic formulators with raw materials.

• Heatflow – This energy management startup with a mission to help private households optimize their energy usage without requiring expensive equipment.

• World with Kids – From the founder of Frankfurt mit Kids, this app helps people find kid-friendly adventures around the globe.

About the Program

The second edition of H_Ventures started in March with 60 participants who formed together 23 teams each with a new business ideas. Sponsored by the Hessen Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transportation and Housing and powered by Goethe University Frankfurt and TechQuartier, this program was created to empower new entrepreneurs with diverse backgrounds to launch ventures implementing data, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions.

All participants in the first phase of the program learned about how to build an effective teams, ideation and customer development, agile frameworks, readiness scores, product vision, testing and validation, go-to-market pricing and strategies and pitch presentation. Mixed in to the curriculum were networking and mentoring sessions.

To be accepted into the second phase, 20 teams competed in a pitch challenge and a chance to move on in the program. Only 14 teams were accepted by jury members.

Through April and May, these teams focused on solution architecture and data product design, AI models, intellectual property, legal considerations and one-on-one sessions with startup mentors. They also had a chance to solidify their teams and talk with experts in entrepreneurship and business building.
